The word "forgive", the Indonesian Dictionary, defined as "exemption from prosecution for making mistakes or errors."

When we offend someone, we tried to ask forgiveness from the person concerned that our relationship with him can be restored.

Forgiveness is not granted because a person deserve forgiveness. No one deserves forgiveness.

Forgiveness is an act of love, mercy and grace of the people who hurt. Forgiveness is a decision to not hold grudges against those who wronged you.

The Bible explains that everyone needs forgiveness from God, because all men have sinned. Therefore, in Ecclesiastes 7:20 stated, "Verily, the earth is not a righteous man who does good and never sins!"

In 1 John 1: 8 This fact is emphasized, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us."

All sin is basically rebellion against God (Psalm 51: 4). As a result, people in desperate need of God's forgiveness. If a person's sins are not forgiven, then all of us will be punished in eternity, as a consequence of sin (Matthew 25:46; John 3:36).

Forgiveness - How do I get it then?

We are grateful that Allah the Merciful and gracious, eager to forgive our sins.

In 2 Peter 3: 9 says, "He is patient with you, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

God wants to forgive us, so He provided forgiveness.

Actually, the only just punishment for the sins of man is death. Therefore, Romans 6:23 states, "For the wages of sin is death ..."

Eternal death is the wages of our sins. God's perfect plan, came incarnated into a man as Jesus Christ (John 1: 1,14).

Jesus died on the cross to bear the punishment that we deserve: death. Paul therefore states, "He who knew no sin was made to be sin for us, so that in him we are justified by God" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus died on the cross in our place the punishment we deserve. As God the Son, Jesus' death provided forgiveness for the sins of the whole world.

In 1 John 2: 2 proclaimed, "He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

The resurrection of Jesus once proclaimed His victory over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15: 1-28).

Praise God, through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, what is stated in Romans 6:23 it became clear, "... but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Will you accept the forgiveness of your sins? Do you feel a sense of guilt that does not go away?

The forgiveness of your sins is available only when you have faith that Jesus Christ is your Savior.

In Ephesians 1: 7 stated, "For in Him and by His blood we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."

Jesus paid the penalty for our sins so that people can be forgiven. The only thing you need to do is ask for forgiveness to God in Jesus Christ; believing that Jesus died to pay the price remission, the heavenly Father will forgive you.

In John 3: 16-17 revealed the news that is so beautiful, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life , For God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save by him. "
